My name is Megan, mother of 2 and childminder based in Cwmgwrach. It has always been a dream of mine to open a day nursery. My passion for childcare began in University where I studied Education, after this I then went on to work in a Welsh primary school. Once I started my family, I became a childminder and fell in love with my new career more than I ever imagined I would. When we saw that Calfairia Chapel in the village came up for sale, we saw this as an amazing opportunity to expand the Croeso business and allow me to provide much needed childcare spaces in the area. Renovating the chapel has meant that we have had a blank canvas to create the perfect childcare setting. Over the past 4 years of being a childminder, i have learned a lot about the importance of the childcare environment and have put everything i have learned into practice. Being awarded "Childminder of the Year" in 2023 was a highlight of my childminding career, and i hope to continue to deliver high quality award winning childcare at Croeso Day Nursery.
